Prepare for your marble and ceramics showroom visit

A useful showroom visit starts with a clear idea of the space you want to finish. The design need not be complete: bring information that helps explain your requirements.

Start with the space

Are you choosing flooring or wall cladding? Is the space indoors or outdoors? Describe its intended use and any requirements, and ask whether each option is suitable before choosing.

Bring photos and initial measurements

Photos of the space and surrounding colours help explain your ideas. Record available measurements and clarify whether they are approximate or confirmed. Do not base the final purchase quantity on an initial estimate alone.

Make comparisons specific

For each option you like, record the product name, code, dimensions and finish. Ask about stock, delivery time, and whether the price includes supply, delivery or installation. Request written clarification of the terms before agreeing.

Keep a reference for your choice

Keep the details of the sample discussed and check that they match the item in the quotation. This helps when reviewing the order with your designer or contractor.
